Ever since I was a little kid, I wanted to play the guitar, bang the piano, hit some drums. As a grown up kid, I started my very first band when I was 15. Later on I discovered the beauty of singing and how to teach it to other gifted kids. I started writing songs at the age of 15, and as a matter of fact I write songs in every possible style or form you may think of. At the age of 28, I obtained a Master Degree in Music Production, but specialised myself afterwards in the songwriting area. I do a lot of co-writing sessions for songs in Dutch, French, English, Spanish. If you want to hire me as a songwriter, feel free to contacttme! I have Master Degree in singing (Pop, Jazz), obtained in 2015 at the Conservatory of Ghent, now called KASK. I have been asked multiple times as a background singer for big productions, but I also dropped a few albums, an EP and some singles. Check out my Spotify account to listen what I already did! I often do radio jingles or tv commercials too, and a lot of stand-alone singing projects.

BIO
Jimmy Colman, also known as Jim Cole, was born in 1979 in Geraardsbergen. Being the son of a Belgian mother and a Paraguayan father, Jim won his first rock contest in 2001 at the Vooruit, Ghent with “dijenik” at the Oost-Vlaams Rockconcours, beating Sioen in the finals.
A few years later, Jimmy began his solo career under the name of Jim Cole and shortly after began recording his first album Soul in 2 (Motormusic Studios), which would be released in 2008. The first singles Things, Goodbye and Someday Charlotte were received with lots of appreciation by national radiostations Studio Brussel, Radio1 and Radio 2 and national television.
Vincent Pierins and Kris Wauters from the famous Belgian band Clouseau noticed his vocal skills and asked him to join the band as a backing vocalist later on that year. Whilst recording his second album, Jim got a phone call from VRT (national television) to join Tom Dice as a backing vocal in 2010 for the European Song Contest. Tom Dice became sixth that year. Later on he was also asked by Tom Waes to add backing vocals to the song Dos Cervezas.
In between recording, Jim was the musical director for the sold out Motown 50 tour with Sandrine and Brahim. It would take up to 2011 to release his second album “When Love Is Not Enough”, produced by David Poltrock, licensed by Warner Music Benelux. So Lonely hit the charts in April 2011 and the song also got a lot of attention in the Netherlands.
After that, Jim took a break from performing live to raise his first born son, Noah.
In 2015 Jim was asked to participate as a singer in The Voice Van Vlaanderen, where he would end third in the finals in 2016. Meanwhile, his performance of Kiss (Prince) has been selected as one of the 10 best tributes worldwide for a The Voice contest.
In 2019, Jim released a tribute EP to Prince, called Minneapolis. All five songs on the EP were produced by Luuk Cox (Shameboy) and were recorded with the very same instruments and sounds as Prince used during the highlight of his career in the eighties.
In 2020 presented his first Dutch single "Zonder Zorgen". It went straight into the Vlaamse Ultratop 50 and into the Ned Top40. His next Dutch song "De Tijd" was released on March 1st.
